I'm happy to have found this forum, I've learned SO much here about products MAC and otherwise to try; application techniques; storage ideas; even how to talk to MA's and not feel like a dummy. Thanks so much!!!
I'm really new to cosmetics in general. I didn't really wear any much of my life. Not really a tomboy, just disinterested. Because I have a really young face I always felt silly with makeup on like I was a little girl with mommy's lipstick all over her face! But now I'm over 30 and looking for something to perk me up a bit.
My skin is really really fair and dry in the T-zone. I have VERY flushed red cheeks so MA's generally mismatch me into pink undertoned foundations. NC15 (only in SS!!) is close when blended well, but still too dark; Diorskin Nude in 10 is WAY too dark. The closest is EDM Golden Fair on everything but my forehead which is Fair Neutral. (WHY is my forehead an obviously different color than the rest of my face????) ... but the EDM makes me break out. I have yet to find foundation and concealer products that are right for me.
I love to visit MAC counters and I would LOVE to frequent Sephora but luckily the closest one is 2 1/2 hours drive!
Also, I like to talk a lot. That's not obvious right???
