Goodbye Metallic Eyes, Hello Brushies and then some...

So after really looking throughout my collection, I've decided that the Metallic Eyes palette had to go. The case is GORGEOUS but the colors just didn't do it for me. So instead I picked up these...

Brushes:
134, 168, 187, 222, another 239 and a NARS Ita Brush

Tools:
15-Pan, 6-Pan, Fix+, Bulk Wipes

Shadows (Most of these have been tagged with the ToD

):
Petalescent
Beautiful Iris
Humid
Bronze
Woodwinked
Goldmine
Falling Star
Coppering
Plum Dressing
Femme Noir

and a Chai Lipglass

That's all folks...for now anyways

Don't discard your metallic colors. They make for wonderful evening looks or at the club.

Great haul btw =)

The palette wasn't bad, but I had colors that were too similar to justify keeping it. The only reason I'd keep it would be because the case is just soo pretty haha.

My color comparisons...
Silver Fog = Silver Fog pigment
Velvet Lady = Smoking from Smoking Eyes Quad
Manor = Green Brown pigment or a lightly applied Club & Beautyburst
Stately Black = Well-Plumed from Well Plumed Quad (Untamed Aug06)
Honeylust = perm.
Creme Royale = Provence pigment

If I didn't have anything similar I woulda kept it. HTH!

I played with the Ita brush today and I LOVE IT! It's great for contouring and blush. It's a super soft, long handled version of the brushes that come in those Benefit bronzers/highlighters [Hoola, Dallas]. The size and shape is great for getting into those tight areas like right under the apples of my cheeks. Held vertically, the brush sweeps nicely over my apples. I have a MAC 168 which is for contouring too but the ita really gets in there and then i blend with the 168. HTH!

I don't see triangles of death for most of those? Falling Star, Femme Noir, and Petalescent disappeared but Beautiful Iris, Coppering, Bronze, Woodwinked, Plum Dressing, Goldmine, and Humid are all in tact with no ToDs?
