Got an extra package from Nordstrom (repeat package)Suggestions

Today I got a few packages one of them from Nordstrom. I didn't recall ordering anything from them. I opened up the package and it was a repeat order that I made in August!! I called Nordstroms and they have didn't know what tell me. They only showed my original order from August. I read them all the info they needed but they couldn't find anything and they told me that was my original order and said they were sorry it came so late and they would give me free shipping next time I ordered.

I tried to explain I already had the original and this was a duplicate. The guy apologized again and want to offer me next day shipping on my next order. I told him no thanks and he tried to explain again. He told me the same stuff AGAIN! Asked me if there was anything else he could help me with and I said no and we hung up.

I called back and this other person wants to replace the broken MAC Mineral SkinFinish that just arrived!!!!

I give up!

Has this happened to anyone else?


I know now an extra MAC MSF , bamboom paint and Angel Kiss TLC. I really don't need these at all.

I am worried if I send them back they will credit me back the amount.

What would you do?


Right now I have it all sitting the box it came in. I checked my CC and nothing has been charged.

Hrmm... That's a toughie. You say you don't want/need all that extra stuff laying around, but I would share your concern that if you sent it back they would credit your CC.

I honestly don't know what to do in that situation, especially since you can't seem to get thier Customer Service people to understand what's going on!

I guess I could use the Bamboom and MSF at some point in time but I doubt I will need the Angel Kiss TLC. I know my mom likes them I could give it to her but I feel so bad keeping the items.

I am going to try to call one more time this time I am going to see if I can talk to a manager.

Silly, I love getting freebies but I don't like the feeling that I am stealing even though they sent them to me. KWIM

Also, if you return it, they may just throw it away (it's MAC company policy to toss all returns, used or not), so even though you feel bad, and I would too, it would be a waste to send it back since it will be a loss for them either way!

You make a very good point.


I called again and for some reason they only show this one shipment. They don't show the original one. I show the original one on my account but no this last one. So oh well...
I am going to give the products to my mom. Well, all but the MSF. It is broken and she'd end up tossing it.

I think I'd hold everything including the box and any packing slip/invoice until you've gotten your credit card bill for that time frame.
Then if you did have to return it, you'd have everything. Wish I were so lucky!! Usually I am missing items.

Thanks, The original charge was done on my Debit/CC. I don't have a CC.

I do plan on holding onto the items for month before I hand them over to my mom.
