~Grindhouse~

Anyone else see this yet? I loved them both... and I also LOVED the movie trailers durring the "intermission". I expected to be bored since the whole production is so long but both films held my attention the entire time. They are your typical Robert Rodriguez and Quintin Tarantino films super gory and cliche but I wouldn't expect anything else from the 2 of them. I think they are brilliant! Opinions?

Pardon the language, but it fucking rocked!!!!! That said, I love that type of movie so I thoroughly enjoyed them. I don't think they are for everybody though. Lots of violence and exploding heads.

I saw she had a machine gun for a leg , and it looked extremely cheesy to me.... I dunno maybe I will go see it anyways.

I absolutely loved it. Rodriguez's film was awesome, and that seems to be the one that most people like the best, but I think Tarantino blew him out of the water. And the soundtracks to both movies were amazing.

I just saw it yesterday.

AMAZING.

It's the way I've wanted every single cheesy B-Rated slasher flick to be....gory and silly, but with decent actors!

Best movie(s) I've seen in a long, long time!

I'm going to go see it again, and again, and again.

Loved it! Though I have to say I liked Planet Terror a lot more than Death Proof but as a whole, it was great.

Planet Terror disgusted me, at one point I stopped looking. Once she got her gun-leg, I enjoyed it.

Death Proof had me wide eyed, it was just thrilling and fun to watch.

I was a bit nervous about Rodriguez's work b/c I didn't like Once Upon A Time in Mexico at ALL...but Planet Terror completely kicked ass. The beginning of Death Proof lagged a little for me (the gals seemed to have ZIP chemistry & it kinda blew) but the rest completely left me at the edge of my seat. All in all both movies were so awesome, the husband & I are contemplating seeing it again in the theater. The trailers were awesome, too! The cheerleader/trampoline scene

I totally agree. Typically we are not movie-goers... I can usually wait for things to come out on DVD but I am so glad we saw this! We too are thinking about seeing it again and it will be something that gets added to our collection immediately!

I loved them both for different reasons... it's too hard to pick a favorite.

I totally want a machine gun leg now. ;-)

I saw an interview with Rodriguez and Tarantino....they were joking around that yes, you too can have your very own machine gun leg! And if you act now, we'll even remove your real leg for free!

Can't say I wasn't tempted....

Wow, I really want to see it now. May try and drag my friend to a showing on Sat. If I don't make it to the theater, it's already saved on my Netflix queue, lol!
