I bought cute yet sexy the other day and it looks kind of... gross in the tube. it looks like the pigmenting is separated from the clear base and I kind of stirred it up with the wand, but it still looks... weird. hang on while I see if I can photograph it... (haha. like you guys are waiting.)

but did anyone else have this problem at all? should I just return it and get another one?

Mine was (is) like that. I had no problems with it though - it might just be the formula seperates. I stir it up, and it looks fine on my lips. I like it so much, I got a backup, and it seperates too.

Mine was like that too. I tried to stir it up, but the gloss wouldn't mix with the color plus it felt oily on my lips, so I exchanged it for Polish Me Pink which is fine. Warning! is fine too. When I swatched Hard Coral on my hand at the counter, it immediately separated so I didn't buy it. It also looked gross in the tube.

yeah. It's also very, very similiar to the color of my lips naturally. clear gloss on my lips is pretty much a cute yet sexy dupe... So I think I'll exchange it for pink patina. :3 love warning! and polish me pink.

most of the lip varnish are like that at my counter... ESPECIALLY the cute yet sexy. it is because they're SO pigmented that the pigment seperates. it just needs a quick stir and the product is the same in quality. yours is not defected... i looked at like 50 of these to double check

when I bought my first two (hard coral and pink patina) they were fine, and yesterday i bought cute yet sexy and when I opened it, it was COMPLEtELY separated, with the color at the bottom and the clear part at the top, I just stirred it around for a while and its fine, goes on the same as the other two, and pretty color

I'm having second thoughts about buying the lip varnishes after all these posts about them separating. Did anyone email MAC to tell them about this?

I bought mine (Cute yet Sexy) yesterday and it was completely separated, pigment on the bottom and clear gloss on the top. I tried calling the 1-800 but it was too late in the day.

Will it be safe to say that Cute yet Sexy is the only lip varnish more prone to separating? The tester I saw at the counter was slightly separating, the others were fine.

That is exactly it hun...there is a LOT of pigment in the lip varnish. Granted it shouldn't feel "oily" on your lips, but if you mix it a bit when you apply it, then it is fine.
