What's your budget and hair type? I'm in the Bay Area and can recommend a fantastic salon for wavy/curly hair, if that's you're hair texture. If not, check out the yelp website; they have salon recommendations that I've found very helpful.

Def check out yelp then. Reviewers will usually say what price range the salon is and sometimes will even mention what stylist they went to. If you have a flexible schedule and are feeling adventurous consider calling the higher-end salons like Yosh for Hair Gina Kahn or Cowboys & Angels and asking if they have a program for hair models. They usually have days when their junior stylists are tested on certain cuts so you can get heavily discounted haircuts from very high-end places.

I'm checking out this salon today in the Castro which got great reviews on yelp.com. It's called Notorious for Hair and the lady is charging me $38 for a shampoo, cut, and style. And they have a million and one reviews praising her work and the salon in general. Other places here are so overpriced so I'll let you know how my hair turns out tonight.

i went there before. if you're a first time customer, the price is $28 but later on they will charge you $38 & up. well, thats what the website said. you forgot the consultation part. that is also included. tell us who the stylist is and if you would recommend him/her.

if i can't find a place, maybe i should go back there and get my haircut.

I didn't have a consultation it was just a hair cut so no need for a consultation.

I went and got my hair done and I love it! She did exactly what I asked her to. She gave her recommendations but asked me what I thought and she only did what I wanted her to do. If you guys want her number just PM me and let me know.
