Hair sprays

I have a problem with hair spray depositing more in little visible droplets than as a fine inperceptable mist whenever I use it. This presents a real problem for me when I'm called upon to do hair and wig styling for shows, shoots, and events.

What hair sprays do you ladies use, or what techniques do you use to prevent this from happening? This is a new phenomena for me, so I'm not sure if it's that I've been buying knock-off versions of sprays, or if it's something I'm doing without realizing it.

I think it really depends on the brand and whether or not you are using aerosol cans. If you use a pump spray bottle, it always happens. I have never been able to move fast enough to avoid the droplets with a pump spray bottle. Right now I am using Rusk be flexible hairspray and I love it. It is an aerosol can and if you move the can all over quickly while you are spraying, you should avoid the droplets.

I totally forgot I should mention what sort of dispenser I'm using! This has all been with aerosol cans, some of which were even labeled as ultra-fine mist types.

I wish I could find the hairspray I used to use, but no one in my area seems to carry Kenra products anymore.

I use this hair spray that I absolutely love. It called Body double by the Sebastion Line. It gives you the hold but doesn't give you that sticky hard feeling. I'ts still moveable and touchable. And it feels super light with tons of injected volume. You should try it.

Oh yeah, my mom (the hairdresser) swears by Sebastion shaper plus hairspray. I have used it on occasion and don't find that it leaves residue. It is kind of pricey though.
