I'm mostly posting this to make others aware there is a Native American Day. I find it sad that kids around the U.S. learn about Columbus Day but they don't learn anything about Natives on Native American Day. I live in Oklahoma and I would bet you only 1% of the students in the schools even know that it's Native American Day. (And that would be because their parents work in a Native American business and have the day off.)
Native American Day is celebrated on the 4th Friday of September. Help me celebrate my culture and spread the word. Please tell at least one person you know that today is Native American Day! (Just a little FYI, I was princess of my tribe. You guys are talking to a princess! LOL)
