Hello all. Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm Amber and i'm a bit old hehe.
I have only recently (in the past couple of months), got into Mac makeup. I'm ashamed to say i had never even heard of it until then, along with most of the other higher end makes. I have only really ever used drug store brands up until now, things like Rimmel, L'oreal, Boujours etc. The most i ever paid for an item of makeup before now was £10 (that was a big treat for me) and i've only ever really worn a bit of bronzer mascara and eyeliner and lipstick until now. But i blame it all on You tube lol. I was only on there looking at Photshop tuts and thats when i spotted all these makeup tuts. So now i am addicted and subscribed to about 20 different members tutorial pages, these include Niryana, and Misschevious, amongst others. I hadn't heard of Specktra.net till the gorgeous Misschevious mentioned the site and so that's what made me join. My makeup collection has grown 10 fold since watching these tuts and i made my first visit to a Mac store in Selfridges, Trafford centre last week and bought some medium dark skinfinish bronzer, which i absolutely love and will be looking to buy some more Mac stuff soon. I have also bought some Laura Geller cake liner and Bronze & brighten, these a stunning too. I can now see how by paying that bit more for makeup you get much better quality. I alway's thought it was just paying for the name but the stuff really is much better quality. Only thing is my bank balance isn't too impressed with me atm.
God i can go on, i'll shut up now.
Anyway looking forward to sticking around here and learning lots
