Hi,
I've been lurking on this forum for a couple of weeks and have found the wealth of information here to be amazing. I'm basically a makeup newbie. I'm a graduate student so I'm looking for affordable make up lines that won't break my bank account. But I'm also interested in learning about higher end lines so that when I can afford it, I'll know which lines to look into buying. I'm African-American so I've found buying make-up can be challenging since how it looks in the bottle may not be the same as when it is on your skin. I have been using L'Oreal HIP 828 Henna liquid foundation (it was a perfect match for my face) but I no longer see it in stores
so I'm looking into trying either Iman, Black Opal or Covergirl Queen collection foundation or powder. I've also been on an NYX kick for a few weeks now and all the info and swatches on this site have been very helpful so far.
I look forward to chatting with all of you and continuing to learn about makeup and makeup techniques.
