Hello from Arizona

Hi there. I've been a member of the site for about a month and have just been lurking but I figured I'd say hello.

I'm a full time pharmacy student so I don't technically have the money to buy MAC products, but I do anyway. I've loved Urban Decay/Stila/everything at Sephora for a long time. One of my friends suggested I try MAC's products and I'm slowly getting sucked into the addiction. Eyeshadows/pigments are my weakness. I'm not really one to wear much lip color and my coloring can handle only certain colors as far as blush or lip colors go. So I guess that's better for my wallet that way. Still, I want all those eyeshadows!! :*(

Oh, and I'd heard that one can order from MAC Pro without being a pro member if you just put in an order on the phone. Any truth to that and has anyone here ever done it? I'd really like to get the 15 palette and then get shadows in just the pans... Oh how I wish I qualified to be a MAC pro member...

Anyway, just wanted to say hello.

Hi Ashley and welcome! I'm a pro member and as far as I know, in order to shop online, you need a membership #: specifically it says, "To Shop-Sign in" when I try to add to my cart. I'm not sure if this applies to phone orders as well but you can certainly give it a try:

However, if you walk into an actual MAC Pro freestanding store, you can shop without a pro card, no problem. HTH!

Ashley! And it's true...you can order from the 800-number or shop in the Pro store without the membership. I can't wait, I'm going to visit my first Pro store in a week!!

Oh how I WISH we had a PRO store in Arizona! :*( The closest thing to me is just the counter at Dillards... About forty minutes away there's a regular MAC store in a mall. I've been trying to recruit my friend to come with me to go there but our schedules never match.

Yeah, I knew I can't shop at Mac PRO online without being a member, but maybe one of these days I will try it on the phone... I'm so indecisive though I'd have to have it all written down way beforehand. lol

I'm visiting my cousin in Boston in a few months... perhaps I can convince her to drive me down to New York for that PRO store? Ha!! Fat chance.
