Hi, I'm 25 yrs old. My skin has been acting up lately! I started a job a few weeks ago, and have been getting up early 5:30am and working until 7pm, and sleep between 10-11:30pm. I try and drink lots of water, but my skin is just dry, especially around my eyes, and blotchy and dry. I wear makeup all day, but that's not my problem. I'm looking for a regimen. Or a good brand for me.

My skin is Combo.

Things I'm interested in:

Eye cream (moisturizing)
Exfoliator (i use St ives apricot scrub now)
Face Wash (i use shu uemura premium cleansing oil)
Moisturizer ( i use MAC studio moisture cream)
Serum for night
Microdermabrasion?

Any good oil of olay products?

My skin is combo too, and I'm 24. I really love Oil of Olay's microdermabrasion two-step kit. It's official name is: Olay Regenerist Microdermabrasion & Peel System. It's pricey (for a drugstore product) but I am 24 and I use it once a week (I never did microdermabrasion before, I never did anything special to my skin and I noticed it was getting duller and duller over the years). Anyway, it might be a bit strong for sensitive skin, but I love it. It's a citrusy scrub, then an activating peel serum that you put over the scrub and massage in. It makes my skin look and feel like a baby's butt, I'm not kidding, the smoothest, softest skin ever. I've been using it once a week for about 5 weeks and my skin looks incredible

I hope this helps!

I also like Neutrogena's Deep Clean Gentle scrub (with beta hydroxy) for my scrub. It also does the smooth-bright skin thing

I've tried the Good Skin Microcrystal Skin Refinisher from Kohl's. It is about $25 retail, but they have sales almost every week. I have had professional microdermabrasion before, and this feels pretty darn close to the real thing, without any irritation. If you do this, remember to use sunblock (Clinique City Block SPF 30 or 40 is excellent under makeup) and only do the scrub 1-2 times a week max (better to do at night before bedtime) then follow up with a good moisturizer (Oil of Olay and MAC make some excellent ones). At night, a little bit of Clinique All About Eyes around the eye area is great too. Hope this helps, and good luck!

Oh, and drinking lots of water and avoiding too much caffeine also helps tons!!

One more thing-- try to avoid too many heavy serums and heavy creams for wrinkles now...you are much too young and your skin might rebel by breaking out or having those horrible little white bumps that pop up around the eyes (I've been there). Clinique is a good brand because they are geared towards a younger crowd. If you can get a sample during a "Clinique Bonus Time" offer, the better! Or, just ask...sometimes the counter just might have a small tube of All About Eyes that you can try out first.
It is tempting to load the cream on sundamaged areas (fine lines) but try exfoliating with a microderm set...your skin is still young enough to have plenty of collagen and cellular turnover is still fast on your facial skin! It's not too late to start a good skincare habit!

I like Philosophy's Microdelivery Peel in terms of microdermabrasion. Its pretty pricey ($65 for the kit I believe?), but I get great results with it...I was quite surprised that I could use it, since I have slightly sensitive skin and can't even use AHAs without my face getting all red.

In terms of moisturizer, I can't suggest something out of personal experience because I have normal to oily skin, but I hear Kiehl's has a good one for dry skin (I think its the Ultra Moisturizer or something).

And finally, if your skin is tired looking, try a cleanser with Vitamin C. Vitamin C helps bring out your skin's natural radiance

I'm trying to get my hands on the vitamin c powder from philosophy, as well as the hope in a jar/bottle/tube, hope is not enough, on a clear day, purity, as well as the scrub they have.
