Help 80's makeup!

Hi,
I'm going to a fancy dress party where the theme is 80's specifically "Fame" and i need some help for what makeup look I could go for?

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Hmm...I was looking at Fame pics, just to refresh my memory on this...and it kind of seems like Fame isn't so much 80s as it is late 70s (it did come out in 80, remember...). When I think of 80's makeup, I'm thinking big streak of obvious blush, frosty blue eyeshadow, frosty hot pink lips (or just frosty lips...or just hot pink)...none of the Fame pics really screamed 80's at me...
That so wasn't helpful...I'm sorry...basically, what I'm trying to get at is, is the party Fame themed, or 80's themed? ...or is it 80's themed with the sub-theme of Fame?
...someone forgot her ADD meds this morning. =-\ LOL

I know i looked at a few pics from the movie and nothing really screamed 80's. I think the theme is 80's with a Fame sub theme with legwarmers, sweat bands etc
I like the idea of a hot pink lip but not sure what to team it with???

Maybe you could pair it to Aquavert or Newly Minted. As long as it all flows and it doesn't look down right ridiculous, to me, it doesn't really matter.

i was wearing original 80's makeup looks in the 80's !

simply put: wear a lot of everything, in the darkest colors possible.

we had no sense of putting together a whole 'look' back then. there was no concern for the blush to coordinate with your lipstick/eye makeup. in fact, to get the accurate 80's 'we dont know what we're doing, but doing a lot of it' look, make sure your blush and lipstick clash

make sure that blush is a dark wide stripe, we loved that

I used to watch Fame tv show and really don't remember they wearing lots of make up. But there are tons of pop bands from those days who can inspire you !! Just to name a few :

- Robert Palmer, Addicted to Love vid (actually MUA Sam Chapman (Pixiwoo) did a tutorial on this on her You Tube channel !

- Eurythmics, Sweet Dreams vid
- Blondie, Call Me vid
- Human league, Don't You Want me vid
- Roxy Music, Avalon vid

...you should definitely wear some leg warmers, and an off the shoulder sweatshirt...hot pink lipstick would be awesome...with some blue eyeshadow, and the brightest blush you can find...and don't forget to tease and feather the CRAP out of your hair. Use a whole can of Aqua-Net...seriously (I'm from Jersey...I know how to do these things...LOL).

These are awesome tips!! Im planning an 80's party for my BFF in July so these will come in handy!! Now to buy the makeup
