Help! Birthday coming up! Themed Night of "sequins and sweeties"

Help! I'm having a birthday bash in three weeks. I've invited loads of friends to join me at my favorite pub and the pub has a themed night called

"Sequins and Sweeties"....


What to wear!!!! Make up wise and clothes! Yes it's a 'fun theme' but I still want to look sexy on the night!

I'm thinking black sequined leggins and a cocktail dress of sorts? And what about make up!? I want it to be sexy but not silly! BUt still sweetie/candy based. Help Pleaseeeee!!!

I really like the cocktail dress idea! If you can't find sparkly tights, what about a scarf of shawl or some other sort of accessory?

When I read "Sweeties" I immediately thought of candy-colored makeup. Lots of pink and white, and baby blue. Like colors of cotton candy or candy necklaces!

I know when I found out this was the theme I thought GREAT! I don't have to think one up! And it's a really cute theme! The pub is so cute and girle. It plays loads of different music, has awesome dj's, a real atmosphere and it's full of people like me that I get on with really well! It's a bit bohemian and a bit different. Not your typical man pub lol! So I just need ideas for how to do my make up and what to wear! With the clothes I'm on a budget so I don't know what to get! But I have so much make up so I'm sure I can think of something!

ANyone post any pictures or links to inspire me! I'd greatly appreciate it! I don't exactly want to end up like Rainbow Bright or anything! Just something cute! I will be wearing big lashes though! Pastels like Clear Sky Blue Pigment and pinks will work! I just need some ideas!

Oracle 1, what a freaken awesome website! I have found loads of dresses I want! I can't seem to stick to pastel theme. I prefer funky dresses. Here are some I am contemplating:

if you had sequin leggings you would want to keep the rest of your outfit quite low key...sexy black high heels, a long black top/dress and simple jewerly like a necklace or earrings featuring a bow or hearts because they are quite sweet...with your makeup you could have a pretty pink blush, simple eyeshadow, long falsies, and a baby pink or nude lip...then glue some candy coloured diamontes around your eyes or maybe some glitter eyeliner.

or....iv noticed new look do some very unusual coloured/dramatic false eyelashes at the moment that would look great with your theme.

topshop have amazing black sequin leggings, a short sleeveless black shift over the top and super high shoes, maybe some sweetie like jewelery would be well cool!

make up wise how about the eyes you did for the playing with colour fotd you did and bright pink lips like saint germain/melrose mood.
Sky blue pigment would also look amazing with lovely long false lashes! and defo loads of glitter, you could always stick some sequins on your face with some eyelash glue!

I was thinking something like that! I think it would look less tacky and more sexy if I did go with black (which I could wear for work during the day which would be awesome as I wouldn't have to change after!) I probably will do something bright like that fotd but with more pastels and falsies! I'm more of an eye girl so I probably will just stick some pink lipgloss on! Now I just need to find some shoes and a hot dress/shirt! :0)

Blimey! On topshop they cost £38 and on ebay they are going for £70!!! For a pair of leggins! Gesh!

oooft they are lovely though and actual leggings rather than tights, i guess it depends how much wear you would get out of them, if the leggings cost 38 quid you could always get a basic black shift/long vest from topshop american apparel for quite cheap meaning overall its not an extotionate outfit lol thats my excuse anyway!!!!

For goodness sake she looks awesome in them! I would def. have to put a long shirt dress or a shoulderless long top over those. My thighs aren't bad, I mean they're okay,but no way would I be brave enough to show my bum off in sequins lol! Thanks for the inpsiration! I'm going to go on a hunt for a cheap version! also heres some cool dresses/skirts worn as dresses in american apparel i need an excuse to buy not sequin but shiny glittery i reckon they would look cool with plain leggings or skinny jeans.

yeah thats really cute! I really can't decide if i should do cocktail dress with poofy skirtness or sexy sleek black sequiny stuff. ...? I don't want to look like a little kid. And with sweet themes that's often the case lol!
