Help! Did I buy an old "underage" lipglass?

Hi everyone,
I recently bought underage and when I came home I noticed, that the product seemed to have cracks in it. Also, the lipglass seems very sticky and has no smell to it at all. (well, i used it on top of creme d'nude, so now it has a smell...)
I have a lustreglass and it goes on really smoothly, has a sweet smell and there aren't any cracks in the gloss.
What do you say? Did I buy an old "underage"?

When you say 'cracked; so you mean the container is cracked or the physical gloss looks like it has separation in the pigments and pearls? If it's the latter, that's totally normal. Shimmer and pearl pigments used in lipglasses are heavy relative to the liquid they're suspended in and can pull apart. This can happen with Lustreglasses as well but not particularly often - the thinner liquid base doesn't resist the pearl and shimmer pigments as much.

A brand new Frozen Dream lipglass with shimmer cracking in the top of the tube.

As for smell, as long as it doesn't smell like plastic, waxy crayons or any other noticeable unpleasant smell, then that's also fine. When you apply it to your lips it will be absolutely normal.

I didn't notice a particularly strong plastic or waxy smell to it, so I suppose it's still good.

Also, some batches just wind up without the regular vanilla smell. It has happened to some of mine. It's just a matter of occasional poor quality control in the manufacturing process. It's rare, but it happens.

Another way to tell how old your product is, is by looking at the batch number at the bottom of the tube. Remember though, even though it may be older, if it hasn't been opened, the batch age may not matter in the state of the product.

yeh the cracks are totally fine, they go after using it a couple of times, my Cult of Cherry l/g looked like that when i got it but its fine now

I didn't know different batches had different smells to them or that some dont even have any scent to them at all. I guess you learn something new everyday lol.

I recently just got a mini sized underage lipglass from the coral holiday set and along with it and the rest of the glosses in the set they have a vanilla-ish type of smell to it. Doesn't smell bad or anything.
