Help! Do I really need the 131? Anybody tried it yet?

I am having a really rough time with Color Craft. You see I am pretty damn poor right now and well.... I want all of it.

I am debating if I should add the 131 to my list. I normally use a duo fiber brush to apply my MSF's (which are my fave MAC product & I do use everyday) and it works pretty good. I am wondering if anyone has tried this brush out yet... is it a must have... will I kick myself for years to come if I don't get it? or can I live without it if I already have a good duo fiber stipple brush?

I am already planning on picking up all 6 MSF and a few of the blushes so my price tag for this collection is getting steep already... help! Am I gonna have to eat hot dogs for a week?

Thanks Ladies

I'm wondering the same thing myself! I have the 187 which I rarely use, but if I need the 131, I'll get it. I just don't know if I need it!

When I get mine, I will try to let you know.

I was so hesitant to get the 226 and so GLAD I did, that I did not want to miss out on the 131 so I ended up skipping most of the CC collection just to get it. I am hoping it is worth it, right?

I love it for applying bronzer all over face and contouring my cheekbones.I would definitely skip out on an MSF to get it.

I plan on getting it.. I don't know if I NEED it, but it'd certainly be nice to have. especially since it is LE and I collect the brushes

I went and hauled at the MAC store this weekend...and my girl (the MA who works there) almost smacked me when I told her I didn't want the 131. I've got the other duo fibre brushes, and just didn't think I needed it...they tried selling me on it, because it's shaped differently (rounded, not flat), is perfect for contouring (I prefer the 109), and it supposedly applies your foundation to airbrushed perfection. Needless to say, I still did NOT purchase it...and so far I'm not kicking myself...it just seems like I've got other brushes that do the exact same thing just as well...hope that helps a little.

I Have Been Using It To Contour My Face And Honestly I Just Looooooooove It! It Makes Application Sooo Easy.

I ended up getting it even though I already had a 187SE, the 188 and the Sonia Kashuk Highlighting brush (dupe of the 187 full size). I really love it-it is nice and dense and I think I'll prefer it over my 187SE for applying MSF.

Thanks, everyone. I am glad someone asked this because I was wondering the same thing about the 131. It looks like a great brush but I rarely use my 187 and 188. I have two 187's and use one for SS but only when I have a lot of time. I am looking for a good contouring brush (currently using the 168SE until I get something I like better). For those of you who use it to contour, is this the best brush you'd recommend for that?

Hey hun...even though I don't have this brush, I just wanted to put my little 2 cents in...hehe. I've got the 187 and 188 too...and I don't use them too often either...I get aggravated, because it seems they shed the little black hairs more than all my other brushes. Grr.
The 131 seems like it's really great for contouring, and I've heard from the girls at the MAC store that it is, but for me, I don't know how versatile it would be. I've already got two brushes that I use to contour, the 168 and 109 (I've actually got two of each), and the 109 is seriously one of my most used/versatile brushes. I've used it to buff on foundation, blush, brow highlight, cheekbone highlight, cheek contour, jaw contour, etc. I just felt that having another contour/blush brush would be a little redundant for me...and at $40 a pop, I just couldn't see putting out the money for it. But again, that's just MHO...

I just placed an online order for the 131 and 226 because I know my counter is already sold out. The SA said that they only received 3 226's!!!

WTF?!

I was watching a YouTube video haul and the girl said that the 131 is PERFECT for the striped MSF's because it can easily grab from the individual stripes and place the color where you want to if you want to highlight or contour. The 187 is just too big for that unless all you want to do is mix the colors together. HTH!!

I really like the 131 although honestly, there are other brushes you could use (any blush brush or the 187 really). It's a good brush and I really like it, but I wouldn't say it'sa SUPERMUSTHAVE like the 226 is
