HELP finding someone down south

Hey, I have a website we are using at the shelter to locate family members. Let me call the shelter and I will post it for you. To make you feel better, there has been no news of miltary men being wounded or killed in the rescue efforts. There was one wounded in early rescue attempts, but she was a female soldier. I will try and find out if he is around my town, but most of the guys I have met at the shelter are from the New England states. Does he have a cell phone or other local number I could try for you?

Katrina website

This is the website we are using to try to find and re-unite family members. http://boards.news.yahoo.com/boards/ There are several Anthony Thompsons that come up, but I am not sure if any are him. Would you mind posting which branch of service and rank just in case I run into him at one of the shelters? Or PM me as I am at the shelter daily whenever I can have someone watch my daughter. Might I add though, that the bulk of the media is showing the most aweful things. And while yes, our property and homes have been devastated, there is not nearly the malicious things going on that the news reports. They are few and far between. We were lucky to be on the "good" side of the storm (if there is such a thing) but were are only 30 minutes from New Orleans and our shelters are full to capacity. In the first few days, our city was overrun with rumors of "those New Orleans people" "escaping" and killing people and robbing people. None of which ever occurred. I have made it my mission to challenge everyone who is spreading those rumors to work just a few hours at the shelter. What you will find is not people who are out to rob and kill you, but defeated people who are not sure where to go from here and have nothing but the clothes on their back and their last thought is to do anything to you. They are depressed and sad and just want to go home. Once again, I am very long winded tonight. I apologize, but I just want people to be aware that there is good happening in Louisiana too.
