to be honest i think the best thing to do is to go to a mac store and let them know what you want. so that they can match you with a concealer and lipstick. Because we dont know what you look like complexion wise i think it would be a bit difficult to advice you.

yes i'm planning to do so
but i wanted some extra advice
and i'm shy to ask the MUA alot of questions

I never used it, but people say Face and Body is a perfect foundation for a light, natural coverage. Perhaps you can try it too !

Hey, do you want exclusively MAC stuff or are you open to any brands?

I use a YSL primer/foundation which is really good for me, it is the first complexion enhancer I've used which does exactly that. It's very lightweight and perfect if you're new to makeup as it's super easy to blend and you don't get any of those funny dry patches around your nose AND it lasts ages.

I'm really paranoid about my dark circles but they don't even register in the mirror or in photos so you may be using a concealer when you don't need one.

Posting up a a photo would help people to advise you more

Also, what kinda eyeliner do you want? Liquid or waterline? Gel liners are great for beginners, that's what I learnt with

If you go to a Make up counter and explain to them that you are new to make up i am sure they would be more than willing to help you as long as you go when they are not very busy i.e early in the morning. then you would be able to figure out what you like and what you dont like because people have different tastes and this would prevent you from wasting money

Face and Body is a MAC product, typically here if we don't mention a brand with a product, its MAC. A good MAC concealer would be Studio Sculpt, but I don't know what color you would be. For eyeliner you could try a brown so that it looks more natural. Two good peach blushes to check out are Springsheen and Peachykeen. Viva Glam V is a great pinkish lipstick that looks good on almost everyone. HTH!

I heard the same for Face and Body foundation so I would give that a try. Viva glam V is great pink lipstick and see if you can get a hold of Viva Glam VI SE, its really pretty pink colour. I would also recommend peachykeen and if you want something a little more mate, no shimmer try Pinch o Peach or even Melba!

I am NC40 (foundation color) at MAC which means my undertones are yellow... But I hope my recommendations help you out!

1. For concealer, I use the one in the pot (Studio Finish concealer) because a little goes a loooooong way with it!

2. My favorite peach blush is Melba. It's pretty matte without looking chalky. Another one I like is Peachykeen, it has shimmer and has pinker tones to it compared to Melba. Peaches might also be a good choice for you, but I suggest applying it with a skunk brush

3. I use Medium Dark MSFN

4. If you're into liquid/gel eyeliners, MAC's Fluidline gel liners are the best (in my opinion). The color goes on opaque and you don't need to load up the brush too much to line both eyes. I even sometimes find myself having excess liner on my brush

Application of liquid/gel liner might be a bit tricky if you're a beginner with wobbly hands (like me! :p) so maybe you could start with a finely sharpened pencil (like the Technakohl or Kohl eyeliners MAC has). I personally like the look of tightlined lashes and I find that I could achieve that using pencil.

5. Pink lipstick - Sad to say, I have no input here since I don't wear lipstick a lot. Popular choices seem to be Angel, Syrup, and Cosmopolitan. I just usually use Plumful (sheered out) or lipglasses like Steal My Heart (Rose Romance) and Plus Luxe plushglass. Nymphette and Prrr lipglasses are good options too.

I talk too much... I hope I didn't bombard you with useless information.

Hope you at least found some of my suggestions useful! If not, MAC artists are always the best consultants for their products

For blush, I love Peachykeen. I think it looks good on everyone and it's just a light flush.

For lips, there ARE some universal colors that look good on nearly everyone, IMO. My favorite pink nudes are Bare Slimshine Lipstick and Love Nectar for lip gloss.

Eyeliner for make up without looking like make up works out best if you tightline with a pencil, and just dot liquid eyeliner between your lashes to darken your lashline without drawing an obvious, solid line. I find that this really gives my eyes depth and opens them up, with some coats of good mascara (applying the DiorShow Iconic mascara for me by squiggling it in zig-zag motions at the base, then rolling the wand up to coat the lashes to the tips while swirling the lashes up, works best for me), is all I really need. Sometimes I add a layer of single color eyeshadow (I like Bobbi Brown's Burnt Sugar for this) and blend it out for some more depth, but on school days I can skip it or go with it.
