Help! If you HAD to choose one, which would you choose...

Hi All,

So I got $140 worth of MAC gift certificates for my birthday (Yay!) and I can't finalize my picks. (I have to make a list before I go there, otherwise I go waaaaay over budget, and while I can usually justifying spending a ridiculous amount of money on makeup, this time I absolutely can't!! This gift certificate has to cover taxes and everything... I can't even afford to add another $10-$15 of my own money, THAT's how tight money is for me right now, otherwise, this whole "which would you choose" thing would be a non-issue. *Sigh*

Anyway, I've decided on the following purchases (CDN funds):

Moistureblend SPF 15 Foundation - $32.00
Sheer Shimmer Powder - $20.00
180 Small Buffer Brush - $48.00

I can't decide between getting Paradisco eyeshadow, which I've wanted for a long time or the Moistureblend Concealer.

For those of you who use Moistureblend Foundation, how is the coverage? Will I even need the concealer?

Your input would be much appreciated! Help me decide!

Thanks!!

I would get the concealer, even though I haven't tried it, I have always been enh about Paradisco and it's really easy to find it cheaper than retail. Try ebay or even swapping for it on MUA because there are a LOT of them up for swap (I know, I used to have one--sorry!). Too bad though, because it seems like you're getting a lot of product-y stuff and not much color and fun!

I'd get the shadow. I love paradisco and it'll be hot for spring/summer. I bet that with the new foundation and a little sheer shimmer powder under your eyes, any darkness you have there will disappear. I really think concealer is overrated. I think a little darkness looks way better than cakey dry uckyness under the eyes!

I totally agree! I started using a full coverage moisturizing foundation as an undereye concealer and am noticing a huge improvement. The skin under my eyes no longer feels itchy and tight and it looks more natural.

I know, I had to try REALLY hard to stick with "product-y" stuff to use my gift certificates on because I always, always neglect the basics like foundation and concealer, etc. cuz I get so distracted with the fun stuff!

I ended up getting Paradisco

I couldn't resist. Besides, the MA helping me took a look at my skin and said that the coverage of the Moistureblend foundation would be good enough for me since I didn't have too much darkness under my eyes or any other major flaws to conceal (except for the blemish here and there but whatever!) Thanks for the reply!

THANKS EVERYONE!!

Ok, so I ended up getting:

- Moistureblend Foundation
- 180 Small Buffer Brush (wow, this is expensive!!)
- Vanilla Pigment
- Mythology eyeshadow
- Paradisco eyeshadow
- *Bonus* Samples of Fuschia and Naked Pigments

...and THAT's how you spend $140! (it seems like so little, but I spent ALL of it!)

The Sheer Shimmer Powder was too sparkly for me. I wanted more of a natural, glowy and polished look and it just wasn't right when I had the actual product in my hand. And it turns out that the coverage of the foundation is really good so I didn't even need the concealer... THANKS TO ALL WHO REPLIED
