Hey everyone,

Has anyone ever used fake lashes glued on their face (cut up of course) to make bushy eyebrows or a mustache? Or do yall think drawn on facial hair is the way to go? Also, how do i make a 5'oclock shadow?

Any tips are greatly appreciated!!!!!

Are there any costume shops/theater shops near by? I have the feeling they might have stuff like that.

If you want to look like a man convincingly and you're chesty, you need to bind your boobs. I think people use Ace bandages.

Are you going out in drag for the night? If you are, you might want to practice walking like a guy

I think false lashes would look too fake. Try mascara... it'll totally make your eyebrows bushy! Just remember to not touch your eyebrows after! haha

false mustache and beard hair from costume places is the way to go (i have also known a girl who knit a couple out of that fluffy-fancy scarf wool for a movember party - they looked great!) If you can't get proper false air, then i'd say draw it on. i have seen some very convincing drawn on facial hair designs.

for a five o'clock shadow, you could replicate the effect using an eyeliner pencil... dab it on in tiny little dots (it will take a while) and then set it with some invisible powder. i'm sure there's other ways as well, but that's what springs to mind for me.

My cousin made herself into a man for a day recently. It was crazy, she really looked like a dude. I didn't see her in person but she sent me a pic.

She drew her facial hair with eyebrow/lip pencils & e/s and contured her face. Too bad I can't show y'all her pics (her husband would kill me). My cousin went to her parent-in-laws home as a "man" and they wouldn't let her in the house (they thought it was man).

Otherwise, if you use eyelashes as facial hair, it wouldn't look realistic b/c eyelashes are too thin. Maybe go to a costume store and get facial hair, then glue them on with eyelash glue. For bushy eyebrows (if you have short/thin eyebrows), you can cover your natural eyebrows with concealer & powder. Then draw in your man eyebrows with feather strokes or glue on your facial hair.

The best way that I've found to do a five o'clock shadow, through all the methods I've tried in making 14 year old boys look like men in high school plays is dark brown blush or eye shadow dabbed on with one of those sea sponges, and then with a light brown mascara, using a disposable applicator, put it in the tube, wipe off the excess and then define your stubble, where you want it. This will only look good under stage lights though.... Sorry if you're looking for something that'll look good close up!
