HELP: Northernlight as blush alone?

I am Asian with NC30 skin... I love fuss-free make up and found 100 degree pearlizer to be too "light" in color to wear as blush alone. Do you think Northern light MSF will work better (more color) to wear as blush alone over bareface (or mineral foundation)? If not what is the other color/option from MAC line? THANKS SO MUCH!

I think it can work as a blush if you get one with as little shimmery veining as possible. I have seen some that were flatter in texture and more satin-y. Then I have seen some that are really sparkley and don't look good as more than a highlighter.

That is an interesting point. So you mean one that has more pink and less gold swirl on the surface? Will MUA let me pick one over another?

Yep. Each one looks unique. Some have more veining. Some have very little. And interestingly enough, some have a frostier finish and look to them (think Shimpagne/Glissade) and some look more satin (think Stereo Rose/Lightscapade). The one I swatched at the counter was satin-y. The one I bought turned out to be kinda frosty. Go Figure.

To answer your other question, a lot of MAs will let you take a look at several and give you a choice of the one you'd like but you have to ask.

Hi there, I'm also an NC30 If you are lucky enough to get a MA let you choose the veining definatly get Northern lights, I use it all the time and mine has a huge amount of pink veining in it.

I wear NC20 in Hyperreal foundation and I use Northern Lights as a blush. It's very pretty, just gives you a really nice pink glow.

Is anybody here a MUA working in San Diego? Maybe I may go to you to pick out one with most pink swirls in it? Thanks!!!

I actually have been using Northern Lights as a blush quite often and I love it. I find that I dont have to buff it out at all like my other blushes because it just look great.

Thanks so much! I just placed the order and I can't wait! Too bad that I can't pick one with "more pink" in it. However I am sure it will be just lovely! Thanks everyone and I will let you know how it turns out!
