Help! Paints: I lost the cap to one of mine...

Is it going to dry out?? If so, is there an alternative container that I can store it in? It's my Stilife, which I use all the time and it's fairly new, I've only used about a quarter of the tube

Yeah It will definately dry out...Go into a mac store and see if they can sell you a replacement lid..putting it in a sample container will just ruin it :\
Till then Id put some tape or something over it so It wont dry out (and put it in a ziplock baggie or something).

Im not sure, I know the pro stores sell caps and lids and botles and such, but Im sure they can help with something....

I would wrap the end with saran wrap and a small rubberband very tightly after each use to seal and prevent drying out.

Maybe your store or counter has an empty tester and would just give you the little lid... It couldn't hurt to ask them!

I'd use electrical tape, seems like it would seal tighter, until you can find a cap.

I would tape for now and e-mail MAC directly and see if they can send a replacement cap.

Booo, I probably got it about a month and a half ago... would they really take it back for that reason? If they do, then MAC is definitely the greatest

Anyhoo, the MA that usually helps me was nice enough to give me a cap off of one of the paints she was going to replace with a new tube anyway, so problem solved!! It was from Flammable, so I just had to clean it out.

THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO REPLIED! I'll definitely keep these suggestions in mind next time I lose a cap and can't get to a MAC counter right away
