so i found an old benefit brush that i totally forgot about, and somehow it got a little messed up/frayed....is there anyway i could fix this? or is it hopeless

Try wetting it, washing it with a gentle soap and conditioner, and using a tiny smidge of gel to smooth the bristles back into shape. Good luck!
