Hello all!
I have a serious problem, well not truly serious, but still. lol
Whenever I do my makeup, it looks flawless, but a few hours later it breaks up on my nose.
This happens with every foundation i've tried, I currently own Revlon ColorStay, MAC Matchmaster, MUFE HD, and Estee Lauder Double Wear.
The primer that i'm currently using is the Benefit Porefessional, the powder I use is the Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place, and I used an E.L.F. highlighting concealer.
Any help provided would be greatly appreciated.

What about your skincare routine?
I wash morning and night with Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash Pink Grapefruit Foaming Scrub.
In the morning after I wash my face I use a Neutrogena sunscreen, and at night I use the Estee Lauder moisturizer... I believe it's called Day Wear.
Sometimes when I feel a little dry I use the Tarte Maracuja Oil.

I have a very oily t-zone also and this is a major problem for me. It has gotten better since I started exfoliating with a beta hydroxy product (I use Paula's Choice). I have found two foundations that seem to last there in spite of my oil issues, MAC Studio Fix and Matchmaster. I set with finishing powder. I use Prep and Prime Transparent by MAC. Hth

Porefessional is only good for concealing the pores. from my experience, they do nothing for oil control..
I would look into another primer that does a better job at it..
Smashbox primer light really does mattify (they have smaller travel sizes since you're going to just use it for the t zone)
and hourglass mineral veil is awesome.

I think the acne wash might be causing over compensation.. by drying your skin out, your skin tries to produce more oil.. maybe use them only at night and use something gentle in the morning?

also, using a clarisonic does help. it helps with blackheads as well if you use them long enough

Okay, so oddly enough I think I found something that I already own that's working for me. I was playing around in my makeup and I saw my Smashbox CC cream that was thrown to the back of my collection because it doesn't work for me the way the woman in Ulta told me it would. I decided to try it on because I haven't in months, then I remembered why I disliked it, it gives almost no coverage and seems like a waste of time to me. I randomly decided to try my Estée Lauder Double Wear foundation and powder on top of the CC cream, I did my whole face and it came out amazing! The foundation and powder are not breaking up on my nose anymore. I'm so happy to have found a use for this $30 product that I thought I'd never use again.
