hey guys! plz dont laugh at my following quesiton since im new to makeup...

is this the "waterline" the red arrow is pointing at?

and is it safe to use pencil eyeliner such as benefit's mr. frosty on it?

plus, what shiseido product do you recommend to remove makeup?

Yes that's the waterline.

People use pencil liner in the waterline. I don't know if it's safe, check the "Product safety" part of the forums for discussion on that. I know I can't line my waterline, because it irritates my eye, no matter formula the liner is. I think doctors generally advise against lining the water line for that reason.

If you wear contacts, you might want to see how that affects those.

Many people do line the waterline with pencils or fluidliners and I used to up until very recently.

I cant do it anymore because it really irritates my eye membranes and I end up with allergic conjunctivitus (pink eye). This happens no matter which products I use, MAC, Benefit, NARS etc, it can be pencil liners, gel liners, brand new products or liners Ive had for a while - always clean and sanitary though...

Ive been told by my doctor not to line my waterline any more because of the allergic issues and I wouldnt suggest anyone else do it either....

Unfortunately I get funky eye infections from tight lining, it probably has to do with my contacts so I've stopped doing it. Boo
