I have beauty marked eyeshadow and It looks amazing in the package.

When I apply it on my lids, It looks like a smoky black, quite different from the package.

What can I do to make it look like the package?
What do you do to make the red sparkle more evident?
What brushes, base... do you use?

(sorry about my english, I'm from Spain)

Thanks

If you can get your hands on it (I'm not sure about internation availability) Flammable paint, Artifact paint pot, or Nice Vice paint pot may help to bring out the red tones. I would try a red or red-purple base under the shadow, but I have only used my beauty marked as a liner.

And, by the way, you're English is really good!

I agree with the suggestions for base colours, it definitely helps. I also agree that your English is great! I wouldn't have noticed it wasn't your first language if you hadn't mentioned it.

The other thing you can do aside from using a coloured base is foiling. Check out this topic: http://specktra.net/f188/applying-e-s-wet-88616/ However, this is more a technique for intensifying eyeshadow colours. I would try using a red or red-purple base as suggested by newagetomatoz, but if that doesn't work, try foiling. Good luck!
