I have yet to find anything. The only thing that I found to help cover my pores is BeneFit Dr. Feelgood but I have a feeling it is what caused a really bad whitehead breakout on my nose

I tried the Pore Minimizer Instant Perfector. I ended up swapping it away. It made me very greasy.
Just yesterday I was looking at my pores and I am so grossed out by them. I almost wish they build-up in them so I could blame that for how large they are but sadly it's all in my genes. My mother had large pores her whole life. Even now they are smaller but still very visible. I've asked her several times what can I do about them and she said she's tried it all and not seems to have worked. Once the oil starts to produce the pores go right back to their size.
She has never tried any derm treatments and if I ever get any extra cash I am going to get some treatments.

I am so sick of seeing gals with smooth skin! For some reason the other day my face was extra oily and it looked like I had pressed my face against one of those dull pin molding things that you can find at Spencer's.

There is one trick that I read about on MUA that does work but it takes tons of time and work. Get a thick concealer and powder, start by applying concealer and blend, dust on powder, apply concealer and blend. You continue that process until you are happy with the results. It takes TONS of blending and I am always worried about breakouts so I only do it for special occasions.

I've tried it. It's quite greasy but covers up pores extremely well. I wouldn't recommend it if you have extremely oily skin or want to use it in the summer.

I ended up switching to Diorskin Ultra Mat which covers up all my pores and blemishes without being oily. The only con about this foundation is the lack of color choice, but if you find a color match for you, you'll be in heaven =)

I've always had the blocked pores on my nose, I don't know that I'd call it blackheads, but I can cover them with makeup & don't have a problem really anymore, but I know sometimes the pore reducers & stuff can make your oil glands sense that your skin is dry & they need to crank up to produce more. Anyway, stuff that has worked for me is the compact powder that goes on with a sponge, CG and Clinique have GREAT ones, (NOT the cream-to-powder junk, the dryer type of cream-powder or whatever it's called), and also recently I'll put some BE powder in my T-zone spots before I put on any other liquid foundation. It makes it thicker & more coverage in those areas. I don't know if that's recommended or not, but I'd had a product by Origins that you could do that with & they've discontinued it. The "As Good As It Gets" powder stuff you could use different ways. I wanted to get more because it held my makeup in place without melting in over 100 degree summer heat outdoors last summer! I think just oil-control powder of some type is your best bet. I've also gotten some CG type of that, too, for summer, and I liked it.

I use EL Idealist to minimize my pores. It is supposed to be a skincare product, actually refinishing the skin and minimizing pores, but working for EL, I truly think it is only good for cosmetic purposes, such as visibly reducing the look of pores. But it does this very well.

The primary ingredient is silicon, so it fills in the pores, and makes the skin very soft and a great pallette for foundation. Use a moisterizer over the Idealist, and your foundation on top.

It is really important to exfoliate a couple of times a week when using this, to clean out the pores and prevent breakouts. I use the EL Micro-D to exfoliate, it heats up so it will draw everything out of the pores.

I love Idealist, it works wonders for me, I love it.

At Pureluxe there is a Eraser - Cream and the Eraser - Powder.
I have a sample jar Eraser-Cream. And for me it works.

I use the Eraser - Cream for my large pores at my nose.

I always forget you can't just use something sporadically & have it make a difference. I'm bad about trying a pore minimizer & then not using it every day, or some other type of stuff, till I can see actual results.

MD Forte cleansers work at clearing out my blackheads but Clinique instant perfector *instantly* closes and erases my pores after I put on foundation.

Just zap! poof! they are gone. I love the stuff, its cheap and it glides on like silk and has a matte -ish finish.

Maybe the one you got that was greasy was old?

I cant live without it. Thank goodness its easy to get and cheapo

When I used the Clinique pore minimizer, the results were almost instant. It took not more than 10 seconds after applying for my pores to disappear, so I just used it whenever I needed it.

I have large pores on my nose that are all filled with gunk. I try to use exfoliator/toner/cleanser to unclog them, but it seems the only thing that works is to grab a washcloth and squeeze certain parts until it comes out (very gross i know!!!), but that leaves my nose all red and irritated...and it comes back anyways. I dont want something to cover them, i hardly put any makeup on my nose right now, i dont want to clog them even more...i want to minimize them & control my oily t-zone. Proactiv isnt seeming to help with the oil control factor.

After you've gotten the skin care part down.
Stay away from shimmery cheek colors! They'll only make your pores look bigger.

I didn't see any one mention that, so I thought I would

Hi- I found a solution to making my pores look smaller. I have large pores on my nose that seem like they can be seen from space! I was lurking the Make Up Alley skin care board adn had seen that the girls were using safflower oil to "clean" their faces. I happened to have some, so when I took my shower-I took some safflower oil with me. I rubbed a quarter sized amount around for like a minute and rinsed. My face was still really goopy, so I washed with my salacilic acid wash (by Avon) and my face was glowing! Like nothing I ever used before...So, I'm sticking with it!

MAC Primers

MAC has a really good Primer that has a silicon base, and goes on pretty light. It also helps reduce shine. MAC also has a Matte Primer that comes in a sqeezy tube, and that really helps reduce the appearance of pores. And like someone said before, stay away from heavy shimmer as well as really heavy powder.

Another vote for the Clinique Instant Pore Perfector

I've been using it for a few years and have found nothing else works.

Oddly enough, shimmery colors on my cheeks don't make my pores look bigger though, but I don't really have a problem with pores except on my nose.

I've tried many, many products, including BeneFit's Dr. Feelgood and Lancôme's silicone-based mattifying gel, and while all work fairly well, the texture felt too heavy on my skin and eventually made me feel greasy. The only things that work for me is a.) Biore pore strips (if your large pore problem is blackhead-based) on a regular basis, on the cheeks as well as the t-zone and b.) Shu Uemura's cleansing oil. Nobody ever believes me when I say that cleansing an oily face with oil will help control the oil, but it's true. My blackheads have steadily decreased in number and my pores keep getting smaller and smaller, and I have ultra-soft skin with much fewer "oil spill" sensations and breakouts, no dry flakes, and no irritations or red spots from harmful chemicals or scrubbing particles. I would recommend the Uemura oil to anybody.

Vitamin E oil is very good for this indeed. If you can't find vitamin E oil you can get the gel capsules you're supposed to swallow and puncture them to get enough for your face.
