Help with Parrot e/s...

Need some assistance. I swapped for 2 MAC Parrot eye shadows (from 2 different people) 1 in a pot and 1 in a pan. I wanted to have 1 to use and one to save. Anyhow, both swappers are very reputable (sp?) and I've been in contact with both of them. My question is that they look like 2 completely different colors. The one looks like what I believe Parrot should be. It is a beautiful color. The other one doesn't and makes me wonder if the person that swapped it to me had been taken by the person they got it from? I would have not even questioned it had I only gotten 1 and the swapper with the one in question had nothing to compare it to either, so it isn't their fault. So... here are some pictures, would love to hear what you all think. Thanks! I took the pic's in 2 different spots trying to get the best pic I could.

Nope, the one in the pot is definitly NOT parrot! I'd say it looks more like Steamy or Surreal. I guess it would be pretty easy for someone to pop out the insert like we do when we're getting ready to depot, and pop it into another more saught after eye shadow pot!

What stinks is that I believe it was the original owner that may have played some hanky panky with this e/s, and NOT the person I got it from. Going to go compare to some other colors I have and see. The pan one looks like shimmermoss but a little bit bluer in the pan, but totally different when I put it on my hand. The pan one is much more brilliant? Trying to find a good word for it...
Ok, just got out all my blue/greens...The one in the pot does not look like any of these:
Brill is much lighter and more pale
Chill Blue is more shimmery and more pale
Fade is more greyish blue
Tilt is alot darker
Belle Azure, much darker
Deep Truth much darker
Moon's Reflection is more blue
Prose & Fancy nope
Peridot tooo green and shimmery
Aquadisiac not as blue as one I have
Zonk Bleu! darker then mystery shadow
Steamy, its lighter and more blue then this
any others I should compare it to? I can take it to the MAC Counter next time I'm out.

when i first looked at the pic, it looked like tilt too.

/\ I was looking at them again, and I agree as well, the one in the pan almost looks like steamy too, and the one on the right surreal. I never even saw it, but what was Prose and Fancy like? Could the one in the pot be that?

Edit: Nevermind, Prose and Facy is on your list of shadows it isn't.

The one in the pot still definately isn't Parrot. Maybe Brill? The one in the pan looks more like Parrot, but could be steamy. Maybe you could bring the issue up nicely witht he people you traded with. Perhaps they got duped and were just trying to get it off their hands.

Exactly what I was thinking. The one in a pan looks authentic to me, it's hard to tell with the lighting though (I own a few parrots, and in a certain light they could look like that)

The pan one resembles Parrot more but the pot one is most definitely NOT. I think it looks like Tilt.

But since you say it doesn't resemble Tilt, it's most likely a non-MAC shadow which stinks because the previous owner probably got cheated by a lot since Parrot is so rare and hard to get.
