okay, so i used to be wayyyy into makeup, and i used to do different things everyday and i used to be able to blend really well and all that. ever since i started grade 11 (i'm now upgrading grade 12), i've just been doing the same thing everyday, and i forget how to do everything. i guess i just focused on school a lot and just forgot... either i've just been wearing mascara, or brown eyeshadow, and i'm starting to get REALLY bored with it.

heres the thing: i don't really know anymore what colors go with my eye color(s). (i don't know if they've changed or what) but it just seems like every color i try it doesn't make them look good. i don't know if you can see in the picture below, but my eyes are green with a grey ring on the outside and a yellow ring on the inside.

also, i've been meaning to go shop for some brushes (both eye and face), and i'm wondering which eyeshadow brushes are good for blending? i have the 219 i think, and i find it doesn't work very well for blending, maybe its too soft? and which face brushes are good for blending foundation? i always seem to get streaky lines or something of the sort. i have a really sparse brush collection, only the 219 LOL

sorry for so many questions, i've just been really unhappy with my appearance lately and i think changin' my makeup up would really help! and now that i actually have time on my hands, i can practice! any advice would be of much help...thanks a bunch!

You are so pretty! Since your eyes seem to be very yellow-toned, I would suggest purples to contrast your eyes, oranges I think would look really pretty too. As for blending brushes the 224 is good, and if you can manage to find the 226 I highly recommend it (it was LE and repromoed once). The 217 works alright for blending, but it is a bit more multi-useful. HTH!

thank you so much! browns have just been my "safe" shadows, they look good on everyone haha. i do have lots of makeup, and i have purples! i should check out the orange tones, i've never tried that, i think it'd be interesting! i am going shopping tomorrow, so i'll definitely check out the MAC counter...it's been a while. i'll probably ask them too, but it'd just be good to know some stuff before i go, so thanks! =D
