Highlighting the 'center' of the face?

Hi all! So I've always noticed how a lot of celebrities, especially at events, have their makeup done as if the middle or center of the face were highlighted. I dont have many pics, but I suppose Oprah and Tyra Banks would be a good example. On their shows it seems like they're glowing! It's usually the forehead, center of nose, under eyes and a touch on the cheeks that are emphasized, and I love how much dimension it adds. Is this done with cream or powder highlighters? Just a lighter shade of foundation? What's the technique? I'd love to try it!

Here is one of J.Lo

For that kind of look definitely use a powder highlighter. Apply it with a fluffy powder brush and sweep it lightly across your hairline, across your cheekbones and the bridge of your nose and it will give you that glowy look. Be careful not to use too much or else you'll look greasy, totally opposite of the sexy glow

MSFs are great for that look (like Shimpagne or Glissade), as well as the Pearlizers or even plain old pigments. Lots of brands make beautiful shimmer powders, they are an addiction of mine

Yeah it looks like powder highlighter to me too. MUFE has some really nice highlighters that are my favourite and they last forever.

Totally agree. ^^ For something like JLo's I wouldn't use MSFs because they tend to be chunky and not finely milled. I would go for BB Shimmerbricks which don't have glitter chunks and give a nice soft glow. I LOVE Shimmerbricks. Whatever you decide to use it shouldn't look like your a glitter face. The effect will work and show when it needs to like a photo or when the sunsets and it hits your face just right. I love that! That's sexy. Apply on the bridge of your nose, forehead, temples? and chin. Basically the parts on your face that pops out.
