Holy Crap!

See Halloween is evil. I don't see how a dead body hanging from a tree is seen as a decoration. That is defiantly a holiday for the devil.

Yes, people bitch and moan at me for saying that.

That's crazy... wow! And there's really no need to speak like that of a day when people like to dress up and have fun. Stuff like this doesn't happen every day ya know... it's creepy and wierd and I can't believe people didn't notice... that's insane but I wouldn't blame it on halloween... I really dont think it should be thought of as the "holiday for the devil." As someone pointed out, it is actually "All Hallow's Eve" which is a day to conmemorate dead souls... not the devil!

0_0 how can they seriously confuse the two! I keep thinking of this one instance last year or so where someone put up a decoration of a dummy hanging and people thought THAT was real. :/

people are responsible for their own actions... you cant blame a holiday on it. not everyone takes halloween THAT seriously. and i dont consider myself following the devil because i enjoy halloween. i dont use it as an excuse to commit obscene crimes or actions. its just handing out candy and dressing up.

and honestly i can see how some people might not pay attention to it because it is that time of year where everyone wants to make the most crazy decorations to show off. i might have mistaken it for decoration too if i just passed by.

Likewise; even though I don't live in a place that gets into Halloween, my eyesight is so appalling that I could have easily thought the same, definitely not out of desensitisation or maliciousness.

I'm sure if people had the opportunity to view it more closely it would have been reported much sooner, and it's possible that the unfortunate suicide victim chose her location/timing for the reasons stated above - that it could be misconstrued in the fashion described in the article.

That's so unfortunate. I wouldn't blame the holiday though, it's was just bad timing and location, like the article said.
