So this is my first post ever on Specktra! I've kind of just been lurking around...and realizing how makeup-challenged I am lol. I'm not sure if there's a right or wrong way to do this, but whatever. If I've done something incorrectly, please tell me
This is pretty lengthy; sorry about that...
Basically this weekend is my school's homecoming dance (and also my birthday! yay), and I've got this dress:
I generally go for minimal makeup just to cover up my acne (eww), and because I'm too lazy to go all out every single day. However for the dance I'd like to do something that will be dramatic but classy at the same time? I was thinking of a dark smokey eye with very light/nude lips.
This might be totally irrelevant, but one thing about me that's really weird is that my eyes are actually creased/double lidded but they look single lidded? It's like the creases are too small or something. Also, the area between my eye and my eyebrow is pretty small as well--so I think a lot of times when I wear eyeshadow, it's not even visible... And I squint a lot too (like in every single one of these pictures). Not sure what to do about that lol
A couple of pictures of me for reference, you can see how crappy my skin is: (sorry about the huge picture, too lazy to resize)
Here's some pretty crappily taken pictures of me but will probably give you a better idea of what my face actually looks like. In these I don't really have much makeup on.
Intense flash:
One with my hair up, and probably a more accurate depiction of my skin tone:
Okay yeah sorry for the length of this post... if you read through all of that, you deserve a cookie. Which I won't be giving you
. But yeah it would be much appreciated if you could give me some pointers on makeup to go with that dress. If you have any ideas about hair, that would be awesome too! Or tips in general...THANKS A LOT.
