How are you using your Skin Finishes?

I am snatching this idea from an LJ topic. It might be cool to see how everyone is using these babies.

I picked up three: Metal Rock, Stereo Rose, Gold Deposit. Anyone who is a fan of the BB Shimmerbricks would do well to swap em, toss em or donate em because IMO, these are soooo superior. The color just blends into my skin naturally whereas the BB shimmerbricks deposited a splash of glitter on my face.

Metal Rock is my favorite. Instead of using it over my foundation (Bare Escentuals, 5.2) I brush on the Metal Rock over my entire face. I follow that up by buffing on the BE. This mutes the intensity of the Skin Finish and it seems to make the color more natural but still hot and unique in it's play aginst my skin.

The SA suggested mixing a small scraping with your moisturizer for a hypereal looking tinted moisturizer. I am going to try that one.

I use them on my cheekbones, or when it's dark, I use it a bronzing powder.

Here is 2 pics for you Sushi Flower:

I use it on my cheekbones, too, and I read somewhere that they are ok to use on your eyes as long the Mineralize shadows didn't bother your eyes so there, too.

They look so lovely on you Pretty Kitty but that's because you have perfect skin, i think for me it wouldn't look that great but i still want one now!

What colour would be best for a Studio Tech NC43 skin?

I'm spritzing a full brush with Fix+ and then running it over Stereo Rose lightly. I apply this as a blush. I then put Shimpagne above it as a highlight.

I don't have Fix+, but that is exactly what I've been doing and I love it.

I mainly use them as blush and to highlighter the temples... I have Stereo Rose, Porcelain Pink & Shimpagne. And yes, they work lovely with Fix+!

I picked up gold deposit and am using it as bronzer. It's gorgeous. The MA also showed me how to mix with moisturizer as well which was a great effect as well though I haven't tried it myself yet.

Mine totally gives me that perfect skin look (and mine is not perfect at all). They're amazing.

Me too. I've gotten several compliments on my "perfect" skin over the past couple of days. That is why I love these so much.

Well I haven't yet.

It's over 40 degrees (celsius) with the humidity factor here these days. The thought of putting foundation on my face induces panic. I guess I could try them on on bare skin but I'd rather not.

I can't wait for this heat wave to pass.

I actually just put it on top of some translucent pressed powder (cornsilk applied with a brush) and no foundation and it's holding up and looking great (if I do say so myself) since 8 am today until now, 9+hours later. So maybe just try it on top of powder. When they tried it on me at the store, I ran around in the rain and massive humidity for 4-5 hours and they still looked great with just powder underneath.
