How can I keep them clean & store them so it lasts long?!
hmm.gif

I use liquid concealer, powder foundation, powder blushes & eyeshadows, eye kohls & gel liners, lipsticks & glosses.

Does anyone know on average how long I can keep these for as well one they've been used?? And how long I can keep them for if they're untouched, still boxed???? Because I have some back-ups of my fav products & worried they'll go to waste =(

THANKS

The main thing is, DO NOT store them in the bathroom! Bathrooms get really moist and humid, this will make your products go bad sooner.

For cream/liquid products, don't use your fingers! Either get brushes (foundation brushes, concealer brushes, etc) or those little wedge sponges and use that. Fingers carry bacteria, you don't want bacteria getting in your makeup!

As for time lengths - there is a thread somewhere on here with all that info. I think it is in the FAQ or Asked and Answered section. Go look there or do a search.

There's lots of info on the internet about how long to keep something. My personal rule of thumb is if it smells bad and/or looks different (in the container or on your face) from when you first started using it, pitch it.

Make sure you seal all lids tightly.

Store your makeup in a cool, dry place.

Wetting makeup, like eyeshadows, allegedly helps harbor bacteria.

Don't share your makeup without using clean tools. You're getting other people's germs in it.

Clean your brushes regularly (tons of info on this site about that) and discard anything disposable like those wedge sponges.

I personally try to carry around as little makeup as possible; stuff can come uncapped or opened or smashed in a jostling bag. You can potentially ruin your bag and lose a lot of product that way.
