How do you use glitter/colored liner?

I'm always tempted to buy them but I honestly have no clue how to use them. It always looks off when I attempt it haha.

so how do you guys use glitter/colored liner? any looks you've done with them?

To be honest I don't really use mine much. I tend to use the glitter more on my eyelashes than on my lashline.

I use it often, or on my lower lashline for something different. For a simple smokey eye, i'll use the black and rainbow glitter liner from Hard Candy, just for fun.

But from my experience, every glitter liner i've ever used on my lashline has burned, like i lit my lid on fire. i don't know what it is.

I will use black glitter liner on my upper lashline occasionally, but to be honest I'm not much a fan as it's more sparkly than my usual taste.

I LOVE coloured liner for the lower lashline, during the daytime it's not as harsh as using black. I especially love Urban Decay's 24/7 liners as they're very good at staying in place on the lower part of the eye. I normally use black on the top lashline, and then line the lower lashline with shimmery brown, violet, grey or blue, depending on what matches my eyeshadow best

Used: Kate glitter gel liner in GD-01 (gold) as base and along lower lash line

Glitter liner: usually as and eyeshadow base for non-glittery eyeshadows to add glitz or dabbed lightly into the inner corners or applied to the lower lashline

Used: Bobbi Brown Gel liner in Ivy Shimmer Ink on upper lash line

Coloured liner: love wearing them on its own either as a dramatic wing or just a thin line to make the eyes pop. I usually pair colored liners with neutral/simple eyeshadow looks.

use it on top of black liner. the color pops more than if you used the glitter liner by itself

I use it over eyeliner, usually at the outer lower corners of my eye.

i always use glitter liners as a topper to my normal black liner.

and i use coloured liners on top or bottom but never both
