How do you wear UD e/s with glitter?

I love UD but I always avoid the shades with micro glitter because it just didn't seem that wearable to me. These days however I am thinking it might be fun to give them a try and was wondering how you all wear your UD glitter shadows (or glitter liners or gel). All pictures are welcome! Thanx!

I've noticed that if you apply the glittery e/s with a sponge applicator, the glitter doesn't fall everywhere.
Other than that, I wear them pretty much like any other e/s.

Well I dont wear those, I just wear the MAC glitters.

When I do the MAC glitters, I usually wear them as an eyeliner, and put eyeshadow/pigments above the glitter

Try using a good eyeshadow primer like UDPP, then put a MAC CCB on top of that. that should keep the glitter in one place. IF your still worried about fall out, put some lose poweder under your eye. That will catch any glitter that will fall out.<BR>
The ubran decay glitter liner stay put, you can layer them for a day time or night time look.

I second the loose powder, and using a stickier base like a CCB.

I use MAC's Mixing Medium, but the glitter still ends up all over my crease and lid after a few hours...

Try using it w/ a mixing medium (or Mac Fix + actually works well) and applying over a good primer. To avoid the glitter from moving about, I guess you could always apply a e/s-e/l seal over it, but I haven't personally tried that.

I love the UD colors but HATE the actual glitter. It causes me to wind up just not using those shades :/

I use the "homemade" version of the e/s fixer.. 3 part water to 1 part glycerine.. dip my brush into it and then in the shadow... with UDPP on the lid.. Stays on very well..

I love UD shadows! If you're asking about different ways to wear the sparkly shades, I have a few recommendations for you

1. Try a low-key shimmery neutral shade on your eyelid (for example, I love Roach!). Then, apply one of the really bright ones (Asphyxia, Acid Rain, and Gash are some of my favorites for this) on your lower lashline, wet or dry. (My absolute favorite combo for this is Lounge on the eyelid and Mildew underneath)

2. There are tons of looks on UD's website (www.urbandecay.com) under the "Steal Our Looks" dropdown menu at the top of the page. They have all different color combos and shade techniques that'll give you TONS of inspiration.

3. You can wear them as eyeliner-I love to wet a small tapered crease brush and then apply a really intense shade (like Purple Haze or Vert) in a cat-eye shape as liner.

I hope that helps you and gives you some ideas for your shadows-I must admit I'm a total UD junkie! Good luck!

Good ole Visine does the trick for me. I put a drop on my finger (or brush or any other applicator) and pat it on. Then afterwards I apply my shadow. I can use the same technique with water (while it's still damp on my skin) when I apply the shimmery (and not glittery) shades.

ahhh! I HAVE THE SAME EXACT PROBLEM!!! when i wear the UD eyeshadows i get glitter EVERYWHERE which sometimes makes me hesitate whether i should use them or not. even if i dust loose powder underneath my eyes, after several hours i'll find that the glitter is everywhere on my face. though i think i wouldn't mind as much if i was out at night, during the day it can get kind of annoying.

WSS. I really like this e/s colour, I have it in a pallette but will only wear it for an evening out as the glitter goes everywhere. I might try out some of these tips to see if I can make it more wearable.

Hm, I don't have any problems with the glitter sticking. I use MAC paints for my bases. It does tend to get all over my cheeks, but I either sweep it off with a brush or use tape to lift it off. If I'm extra careful with the brush and pat the shadow rather than brush it on (I hope that makes sense) I don't get much fallout. I find I get less fallout using a larger eyeshadow brush as well.

lightly wet a dense brush with fix+ or water, dip into shadow, and then kind of stipple the shadow on your lid over a base (vaseline, udpp, paint, paint pot, whatver works for you). if there is any fall out, brush it away with a fan brush or however you deal with fallout in general.
