the answer really depends on why you think it looks crazy.
are you talking about black liner? if the liner on the bottom comes out looking too dark or gothic-esque, i would suggest using a lighter hand and then going back and smudging the line with a smudge brush or even a cotton swab to make the look more subtle. or instead of black, try a brown color to soften up the look. another option is to just line the waterline and not the lower lash line. this will accentuate your eyes without the obvious look of liner.
and in the end, some girls just look better without liner on their lower lids. this is especially true for girls with smaller eyes -- but looking at your avatar pic, i don't think this is the case for you. i would just experiment with softening up the line until you feel like it's more wearable.

Yep, agree with this. You can also use an e/s to line the bottom lashline, using the 219, this gives a softer look, rather than a harsh pencil line. You an also use a kohl liner to just line the waterline.
