I received one in a swap that was supposed to Be Brand New but it looks like a substantial amount is gone... is this normal or has it been used ?

Do you have a pic? I've used studio fix before so if you have a pic I'll try to tell you what I think =)

I don't have the weight, but it should be extremely FLAT and EVEN. When held under bright light and tilted slightly you should be able to see hetch marks from where the powder was pressed. If it has been used, the hetch marks will not be there. Try looking closest to the pan because usually the hetch marks are left intact, and the middle has been wiped smooth.

With SFF you will know if the bottle is not full because a brand new one is fully opaque and filled with product. You can't tilt it and see a gap/air/space in the bottle. Its not like a bottle of drink where its got space at the top.....

The fact that you even have suspicions leads me to believe that it isn't full.
