How good is this flat iron?

Hi,

Because I'm cheap, I decided to buy a flat iron on ebay. I bought this:

Jilbere Ceramic 1" Pro Flat Iron

http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...e=STRK:MEWN:IT

Does anyone have one? Any opinions? Are they any good? I've never owned a flat iron before, and I was wondering how good this one was. It has a lot of heat settings, and I have very thick hair. I haven't received it, so I wanted to now. If they suck, I'm not out much, I didn't pay much for it!

I've never seen that one (prolly coz I live in Australia), but it seems to have similar features to mine which is a remington... Seeing as you have thick hair, you'll probably need a straightner with high heat, I find that with my thick hair, I always have to use it at 200*C... I couldn't live without mine though once I started to use one... See if it comes with some warrantee or something... but if it's cheaper it could be worth a shot. HTH

If you end up not liking this one, you might want to consider saving up for a Solia. They're not too expensive. The one I have is regularly $88 on Folica, but I got an extra $10 off and free shipping. It has a temperature dial/control, and supposedly the range is 140-450 degrees F.

I worked @ sallys beauty supply, and honestly, we would have those models returned atleast 2 times a week. If i were you i'de probably just save up money and get a real good one

I don't have the one you mentioned but I do have this one:

I love it. I have had it for over a year and it works really nicely. It was about $40 at Sally's.

that looks quite small if your hair is thick I would go for something bigger. i love hot tools and their prices are good.
