how long is mac employee discount good for??

a really good friend of mine still uses her MAC 60% off discount online and she hasnt worked for mac in over a year. mine doesnt still work. i thought it was supppose to end when you stop working for MAC but i am soo sad bc ive bought so many reg priced items! how is hers still working??
