How to apply eyeshadow to this type of asian eye?

I was doing trials on my asian eyes and I find that the end results are always weird due to the shape of the eyeshadows. Can anyone tell me what's wrong and what shape should the eyeshadows form? My eyes have double eyelids but they are not deep set at all, so there is no bone structure I can follow. btw, the colours didn't turn out right!! I used ether and it is much darker in real life..

Actually I think the placement looks good in your photos! I have hooded eyes with a fold and have found that it looks weird to emphasize the eyeshadow too close to my nose. On the inner halves of my eyes, I need to keep the shadow more hidden, in and below the crease, and only blend it above the crease towards the outside corners of my eyes...but I also can't go too far outside or it looks odd! It just doesn't work with the shape of my browbone and cheekbones. Maybe you have a similar thing happening, and need to keep the shadow from extending out from the outer corners as much?

But it looks like this is what you're doing already...so, i dunno!

Hmm, maybe because her eye shape is more narrow/horizontal and she has such a defined crease? I think it's that and her bone structure just lets her get away with it.

And of course she is more skilled in eyeshadow application than me...which helps...

Anyways my eye shape is much rounder than hers, and yours looks more on the round side too. I think maybe that's why we tend to keep the shape of the eyeshadow more flat/in the crease, or else it just looks too exaggerated? She also seems to have more space between her eye and her eyebrow than either of us. Maybe that is part of it?
Here is one of my eyes:

I dunno, I suppose it must be possible to do something outside the crease on the inner part of the eye, but for the life of me I haven't been able to do it and not look like a hooker-clown.

lol, that's the problem!

Maybe a highlighter on that area? It's a pity though not to have eyeshadows peeking out from above our creases, and we can only see the colours when we look down.

I"m looking at the picture of that eye and it's quite similar to mine I think. If you don't apply it right, it looks like I have no make up because of the slight fold of the lid. I get complimented on my makeup but I actually have to do the colors from innner color dark to light on the outter edge. If i do it the other way around, my eyes look really funky like I have some sort of cross eye chicken eye going on.
