How to avoid looking like courtney love

So the other night I wore my Russian Red l/g to work VERY sheerly so it wasn't too out there... and I went to the bathroom about an hour later and low and behold............

It was smeared all around my mouth.. like flipping courtney love or some shit

I want to wear it out tomy bday on friday but.. hell.. not like this

Maybe I need to wear my brave red lipstick instead???

do you completely line and color your lips in with the pencil prior to putting the lipstick on...this helps my smear factor

Nope but I do have cherry lip liner.... do you think that would work? I just want it to be a really sheer red though.... maybe my love alert dazzleglass would be better?

Line and color your lips in with the lipliner then put the love alert ontop .....Don't color it heavily just enought to color the lips

You could also "line" the outer part of your lip with concealer...I've seen that done to stop the smearing...

ok so great tip from my MA. Line your lips first with CLEAR brow wax. ( you can buy a clear brow pencil from mac) Its like a seal! Nothing will go out of that line! Promise! It works great!
