how to make a barbie [pic heavy]

This is more "inspired by" the Barbie loves MAC pictures than an attempt to really do it, as I am missing most of the colors that would need (like a lime green). I just approximated with what I do have.

As always, absolutely no photoshopping on anything, and those are my real eyelashes, not falsies (though I would've worn falsies if I could make the damn things work on my eyes! they do NOT stay on!). I eventually lost count of how many layers of mascara I am wearing in these!

Started off like this. Just a wee bit of makeup.

Then I added some green eyeshadow, and it all went crazy from there.

Tons of mascara, and then picture time.

I found something especially artificial about this one.

Eyes:
Wet n Wild creme eyeshadow in Champagne Toast
Milani eyeshadow in Clover
old Revlon eyeshadow in a plum color
NYX eyeshadow in Rust
no-brand shimmery red cream eyeshadow
Maybelline Volum Express Turbo Waterproof mascara
Prestige waterproof black pencil eyeliner

Face:
MAC Select Tint in NC45
Milani blush in Mango Tango
VS all-over shimmer on cheeks

Lips:
no-name brand shimmery purple cream eyeshadow
VS Beauty Rush lipgloss in Pinked Lemonade

I really like your cheeks with a bit of color

I think you look beautiful when you do your natural/neutral looks, but you can pull off color really well! So jealous-

You're sooo pretty! Although I liked the look a little better before you added the pink, it looked gorgeous!

I liked it better without the pink too.

The green is something I can actually wear out, the green and pink...not so much.

I use stuff like Suave. Seriously, expensive doesn't always mean good. Right now I am using Suave Brilliant Brunette and it works as well as the JF stuff. I use a deep conditioner once a week (Aussie 3 Min Miracle), AD shampoo to keep away the flakies 3 times a week (Nizoral AD), and don't wash my hair everyday. And I try to limit the heat styling, but I live in AZ so it's easy for hair to dry anyway.

And in these pictures I don't have any product in my hair, but my favorite stuff are shine boosters, and Biosilk Shine On shine spray works wonders for that.

Thank you! I think you do some of the best neutral FOTDs I've ever seen, so it means a lot. The odd thing about the blush is that although it looks delicate in a photo, it looked so bright in real life. I think the amount I'd have to use in real life to get the photo effect would be much less, but I don't know how to make it work so I usually just go without.
