How to Measure Out Pigments?

I feel so stupid asking this but here it goes. All this 1/4 tsp, 1/2 tsp etc......well, do you literally take a teaspoon and scoop out the piggie from the jar? Doesn't that waste quite a bit of product that gets stuck on the spoon?

I have a full jar of Gold Mode that I'm going to try to press by next week. I'm trying to figure out how much it takes me to press 1 pan so in the future when I'm buying samples, I know how much I need. Before I start pressing, should I take out 1/2 tsp piggie, put that on a separate surface and just see if that fills the pan?

BTW, I ordered empty pans from a site that's supposed to fit into a MAC palette.

Yes, just take a 1/4, 1/2 teaspoon to measure out. Honestly, it doesn't really stick to the spoon unless it's wet for some reason. You could make one with 1/4 tsp and another one with 1/2 tsp to see which you prefer. I like the 1/2 tsp the best. I think to fill a pan, you are going to need more than 1/2 tsp, because once you add the alcohol it's going to make a paste and not be as fluffy.

Thanks!!!
