How to prevent Studio Fix/MSFN powders for darkening?

I usually wear Studio Fix powder or MSFN powder over my foundation but it ALWAYS ALWAYS darkens throughout the day. I've even had to go for a lighter shade, but still always darkens.. and looks like brown. I do use a primer under this(prep&prime skin). I went to the MAC store and the sales associate confirmed w/ me that they do darken but she didnt knw why or how to prevent it. does anyone else have this problem? thanks!

ARe you letting your moisturizer/primer dry completely prior to application? If I don't wait a few minutes in between those and my powders, I find my makeup oxidizes a bit.

Try a primer before you apply the foundation -- this might help with the oxidation.

This is one of the reasons I don't recommend any MAC foundations -- they tend to oxidize (get dark or orangey) on me and on too many clients. You might have to change foundations if this is not acceptable to you.
