how to travel with your brushes?

i'm running out of space in my Trish McEvoy travel brush case (it came in a "travel notebook" but that became a big pain in the you know what - it seemed big but i couldn't travel with a lot of my basic makeup). This is what i'm mainly looking for to replace first. Although the MAC brush roll one would be nice, i can't justify the $45 when that could go toward buying their e/s and lippies. I'm probably going to get the Japonesque one at Ulta (i thought about making my own, but i figured i don't have the patience to sew one right now)

although i don't have the MAC brush #182, i was wondering how i would travel with this once i get it. most cases (like the Japonesque one i'm gonna get) don't have a short enough pocket for this brush - and i'm afraid that the fluffy brush would get flattened out.

how do other specktrettes travel with this beloved brush?

thanks in advance!

I actually keep mine in my brush belt. I fold it in half, then put it inside a zip-around shoe pouch. I then carry it in my large weekend bag.

That way I can whip it out and begin, therefore lessening set-up time because I don't have to stock my belt with all those brushes, tools, business cards and etc.
