How would you recommend personalizing/marking brushes?

I'm just starting out as a makeup artist and it's recommended that we either paint, sticker, or mark our brushes somehow in order to show ownership. Any ways you guys would recommend? I would rather use a sticker or something but idk how to keep them from coming off. As far as paint's concerned, everyone else has already done this and it can be hard to distinguish still. Maybe a letter sticker with my first initial?

I've done nail polish and/or stickers - there are tips for both. If you do sticker just wrap some masking tape around it to keep it on and so that no one can easily remove it. I found stickers of my alma mater that i knew no one would have. (the crest of the university of california, berkeley wasn't something everyone had ;-)

If you do nail polish pick colors no one uses - like mine had a strip of bright blue and a stripe of sparkle polish on the handle and the ferule. No one could easily dupe that or claim it was theres ;-)

Another good idea is to do what I do with my brushes. I use colored electrical tape and wrap it around the brush right under the MAC logo. It stays pretty well and adds just a tiny bit of cushion to the handle of the brush. Plus, electrical tape doesn't pull the finish off of the brush if you wanted to change the color.

we use different colored electrical tape at the counter, and my personal brushes have decorative wrapping tape, the kind you use for presents.

We all have nail varnish on ours on counter. You have to ensure you pack on the layers of it tho cos it can be scratched off easily. I've done mine in a nice coral colour... i like the ideas above.

Ive also coloured my personal brushes differently, cos I dont want to end up using my work ones n vice versa.

Our counter uses nailpolish.. but I haven't marked mine yet. I'm gonna do clear nailpolish and dip the ends in Reflects Glitter

You could probably get an intial stamp that you can slightly indent all your brushes with. That way the paint stays in tact but the cleaning won't be so hard.

Ive been really really wanting to get some browns, golds, and pure white nail polishes.

I want to put leopard spots on the ends of my brushes, there is a youtube video on it some where. I think it looks cute, and its really simple to do (they way the girl did it on youtube) I just havent found the time to sit down and do 15 brushes.
