!!! We went to the mall yesterday on our day off so I could buy some MAC. We got up to the counter @ Filenes, and I was chattin' w/ the m/a there... Well, Matt was standing next to me, looking at the new collections, and he saw the new A Muse promotional sign up at the counter (I'm sure you ALL know which one..w/ the "Twiggy" looking model in the dramatic m/u)...and all of a sudden he goes "Ahhh...." and steps back a little..Then he says "She looks like a mutant clown!!!!". The m/a started laughing, and I just snickered. I tried to explain to him that it's a "runway" look...I just looked at the m/a and rolled my eyes!! He had me cracking UP!!!!

Lol...that is funny! I love shopping with guys just because of the things they say and their reactions to things like high fashion...haha.

haha .. my boyfriend thinks everything high fashion is discusting. He likes it when i wear my pajamas and have no makeup on. He hates makeup. heh. hes pretty silly

the last time i went to the mac counter with my hubby, within a minute of getting there (literally), he started with the let's go, and was randomly grabbing stuff and saying ok we're taking this and that and this, now let's go!! he was like that the whooooooooooooole time, and as soon as we left, he said,'that wasn't too bad!'

I lucked out, DH is a terrible enabler when it comes to things like clothes and cosmetics.

I'm the one trying to save money for a house deposit, but he's the one charging in with the credit card at the ready, buying up all the LE MAC products "just in case!". We might not have a house yet, but at least I've got some great shoes and a giant cosmetics back-store. heh

I think it's the constant exposure to fashion and make-up from my work - any 'mutant clown' comments have long since been replaced by a working understanding of period style. It's weird having a big, butch military man casually dropping phrases like 'sixties eyeliner' and 'Marc Jacobs' into our daily discourse.

i cant take my hubby shopping for the life of me. he about died when i told him my studio tech was 27,50... he wouldnt let me get anything if he went to a counter with me! LOL
