I'm trying to decide between getting him that new self-cleaning and sharpening BrAun razor (149.00) or taking him to Big Bear to stay in a Cabin for a couple nights! (250.00) What should I do?

What are you guys getting your mens?

He's getting a proper Breitling engineers watch. The one I have in mind is shock-, water-, oil-, vibration-, HEF-, salt- and acid-proof, has a pull-away snagless wristband, can't be scrambled by radars or sonar pulses, and has all sorts of mini timers for when he does diagnostic timings.

Every other watch he owns has been totally boxed after a week in an engine room, so hopefully forking out the $$$ for a decent watch will be worth the investment.

I won't be spending Christmas with my boy this year

So I think I'm going to send him a big box of lollies, all heart-shaped

spending the money is well worth it in the long run.

I'd go with the cabin trip!! Much more fun - for the both of you - and alot more person-specific than a razor.

Amongst other things, I'm buying my boyfriend slippers, becuase he always complains about how cold his feet are, haha!

P.S. Don't forget the birth control or you will be making something else as well.

My husband is a watch collector/fanatic. He will weep at the beauty of your description!

My boyfriend has been wanting to paint his bedroom since we met- in fact, that was one of our first 'dates'= picking out a color.. however, he has bills, etc, which dont allow him to spend the money on paint, etc, and I think it'd be a fun (and different) gift to get him the paint he liked, and the tools he'd need to do it, and then my free labor

Does that sound like a silly gift?

Another vote for the cabin

I bought my fiance a cashmere blend overcoat. I got it for $300 under retail too

He's been wanting a nice coat for a while now. Since he still hasn't put together his birthday Legos, I thought I should go with something I KNOW he'll use.

That is SO cute! I love it, you should make him a gift basket and leave it on his bed, then put a trail of paint chips leading fromt he front door to his room as a clue LOL!!!!

i used to live in a little baby town right outside Big Bear...and let me tell you, don't go anytime near Christmas! it's so crowded, it's horrible. absolutely horrible...you'll have people who can't drive in the snow stopping in the middle of the roads, traffic because of chain patrol (and for some reason, everyone seems to treat putting on tire chains like it's rocket science

) so if you go with the cabin trip, i'd suggest going during the week (if possible) in mid January

just don't play in the snow on the side of the road...if it isn't white, don't go near it haha. that used to piss me off so bad when people would stop on the side of the road and let their little tiny kids play in the black/brown snow...ugh so dirty and bacteria filled! sick! Big Bear is way entertaining though, so i'd go with that over the razor (if of course, you can afford it...Big Bear can be rather expensive
