I am getting a bit overwhelmed with MAC's powder selection. I have pressed powder, and MSFs. I am intersted in the Beauty Powders and Natural MSFs and the new ones coming out with Balloonacy. But how many do I really need? Do you wear them all at once? Different ones on different days? If you wear more than one, what order do you put them on?

Right now, I wear:
Foundation
Pressed Powder
Powder Blush
MSF

Would the natural MSF and Beauty powder take the place of pressed Powders or... ??

i use my natural msf on days that i dont want to look like im wearing heavy foundation but i still want coverage from my redness and they work perfect for that.

The beauty powders depending on the color i use as a cheek color or highlighter/ bronzer.

i use:
Natural msf as a substitute for pressed/loose powder

Blusher on cheeks

beauty powder
Tahitan sand beauty powder - i use this as a finishing powder all over the face (t-zone, undereye area, chin, side of cheeks to brighten my sallow complextion)

Shell pearl beauty powder - Can be used as a subtle blusher by itself or layered over other blushers. Can also be used all over the face as finishing powder, but must be light handed as it has golden shimmers in it.

Colored msfs -
Porcelain pink, Glissade : i use them over other blushers to give an added glow (i like to use lune blushcreme as a base for these 2 msfs to bring out the color of these 2 msfs)

Petticoat: Great as a blusher itself

Lightscapade: Great as a highlighter on the T-zone, undereyes area

Stereo rose: will collect it from the post office tomorrow and review it once i've used it.

hope this helps.

p/s if i use lightscapade as a highlighter, i don't use my beauty powders to highlight my face anymore.

to answer your question, beauty powders cannot replace pressed powders, but the natural msf can.
